Save your stuff.
It stays yours.

Real value from your own things, without giving any of them up. midden runs on your device, with no account and no server of ours. What you keep, and what it works out from it, is yours alone.

A preview: midden isn't on sale yet. No account to make. Nothing you save ever comes to us.

Yours, not ours

midden is our kick at something simple: bringing you value without you selling what you put in. Your thoughts should be your own. So midden isn't a service. It does its thinking on your device, and what you do in it is only there to help you.

  • On your devices. What you save, and everything midden works out from it.
  • Sync through your own Drive. Encrypted on your device first.
  • We don't harvest it, and we don't sell it. No analytics on what you save, no training on it, no ads.
  • It keeps working without us. If we disappeared tomorrow, midden and your heap would still be there. Export always works.

Filmed in midden itself, on a made-up heap.

A midden is a heap nobody sorted: the pile archaeologists dig through, years later, to learn how people lived.

Most of what we save is like that. A link to read later, a screenshot of a receipt, a note at midnight. Filing it all is a chore nobody keeps up. So don't. Keep it, and let midden do the digging.

A feature gets parked

Nobody plans this. You're deep in something, it stalls, and other work piles on top. While it lasted, you dropped things on the pile as they came. That was enough.

You drop it on the pileAfterwards, midden
Aug 17"Starting on resumable uploads. Split big files into parts…"keeps it

Aug 20The retry wrapper, pasted in: "backoff doesn't help, same socket?"keeps it
Aug 21A voice note on a walk: "What if the load balancer is closing idle sockets before we do?"writes out what you said
Aug 22"Priya Nair says the load balancer idle timeout is 60 seconds. Ours is 75."keeps it

Aug 24"Parking resumable uploads. Keep-alive down to 55 stopped the flake, but the rest is blocked until the proxy upgrade lands."keeps it

Two months later, you've forgotten all of it

Ask the way you'd ask yourself.

You already have a midden

Bring your old pile

Drop in your Pocket export, your Google Keep notes or your bookmarks. Everything lands in the year you saved it, so you start with a decade of layers, not an empty box.

Then midden reads back what came up. If you change your mind, you can take the whole dig back out.

See the whole heap

Everything you've kept, laid out by what it has in common. Things that are alike sit together, with nobody sorting them.

Search lights it up. Ask something and what's close glows.
Replay it. Watch your heap grow, month by month.

It shows its working

midden tells you why something came up, and says when it isn't sure.

Every result says why

close in meaning or the words that matched, on the card.

A guess looks like a guess

Weaker matches stay folded away, marked midden is less sure about these.

You decide what's true

Tags are yours. midden offers, and never files anything for you.

Things that shouldn't be in the pile

It notices secrets

Save a password in a note and midden says so, then offers to move it into the hoard, the locked side of midden.

It's a set of rules and it can miss things. No flag doesn't mean something is safe to leave out.

Gather it up

Nine scattered things, one card

Tag what belongs and consolidate it. Notes, links, screenshots and voice notes from those weeks become a single card, each one kept as it is.

Nothing is lost, and you can take it apart again whenever you like.

And it comes back

Goes with this week

Forgotten things that connect to what you saved in the last few days, brought back.

Reminders

Your phone
